The first case of Zika virus in Maharashtra has been found in Purandar taluka of Pune district. There is no need to panic about this virus. The state government is working to stop this in time, said the state’s public health minister. Rajesh Tope has assured. A three-member team of the central government has arrived in the state to check the virus. Rajesh Tope informed that they will give instructions on what the state is doing.
The state government has started taking immediate precautionary measures after finding the first case of Zika virus in the state. Many things are being done such as drying up water storage places, smoking, killing mosquito larvae. Symptoms of the virus include body aches and red eyes. But the Zika virus does not need to be scared. The state has not been infected with the virus. The state government is taking preventive measures for this, the health minister said.
